Mikhail Karpovetsky
Evangelist-apologist, pastor-teacher, counselor. Christian poet and prose writer.
Mikhail completed a course in church history, the history of the Reformation, and an introduction to the Old and New Testament at the Reformed College of the "Hope of Israel" community. He studied at the Theological College "King of Kings" and attended courses on bibliology and pneumatology as part of the Campus Crusade mission.
"The merit of the Reformation lies in making the Bible accessible and understandable to everyone. However, Christianity has not escaped disagreements in its interpretation of biblical texts. The problem of disagreements in understanding the biblical text was observed even in the early apostolic church.
Disagreements take root, build walls, and transform into denominations. The latter engage in polemics that weaken the influence of evangelical churches against the backdrop of the Lord Jesus Christ's call for unity. Heresies and cults advance broadly, distorting the teachings of Christ, attacking the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. How to distinguish heresy from misconception? On what basis to build unity? How to protect the church from heresies and establish dialogue in the face of differing opinions? How to build a dialogue between Messianic communities and evangelical churches? These questions still await resolution. ».
It is crucial that we understand the times that are approaching.
In the last days, there will be a terrible surge of anti-Semitism, and Jews will be driven to Israel. These times will come, so the question is, where will we, the church, stand, and how will we relate to the Jewish people? What occurred in the Middle Ages will repeat itself, but in an even worse form.
Therefore, we must be prepared; hence, our mission exists to proclaim to the entire Christian world: Raise your voice for Israel, raise your voice for the Jews.
Jews, of course, have no privilege over believers from the Gentiles because we all are saved equally.
But there is a specific divine plan that reveals our future, and we must convey this message.
For this reason, our mission exists to identify the problems or heresies that exist within the Messianic movement, and this is precisely what we work on.
Because we must not deviate from Scripture, we must not preach a Christ who pleases the Jews, those who deny the deity of Jesus or the triunity of God. We must preach the truth. However, on the other hand, we must acknowledge that God has a plan for this people. Therefore, there is a need to be zealous for the awakening of the Jews. God has a plan for this people.
Hence, our position, the position of our mission: "No elevation of Jews over non-Jews. We condemn Jewish chauvinism, as well as any other form of nationalism, on one hand. On the other hand, we state that there is a specific divine plan, and we must be aware of it.
We must look back, studying the history of the church, learning the lessons from church history, so as not to repeat them in the future."
Because God's command of blessing those who bless remains.
This is the position of our mission.
